Rob Shinn serves as Partner with the Richmond-based public affairs firm Capital Results.  He provides strategic counsel to a number of clients in the areas of business consulting, government affairs and strategic communications. His work includes everything from corporate strategy & executive coaching to government affairs and strategic communications. He has twice been profiled in the Richmond Times-Dispatch and was recently named one of the 75 most powerful people in Richmond.

Prior to joining Capital Results, Rob was the senior advisor to former U.S. Treasury Secretary John W. Snow during his tenure as Chairman of CSX Corporation.  He also served as Special Assistant to the Secretary of Economic Development in Virginia.

Rob is active in the Richmond community and serves on a number of charitable and community boards including The Powell Center for Economic Education (Chairman), Maymont Foundation, Science Museum Foundation, and Virginia Performing Arts Foundation (Executive Committee).

He served as chair for the State Board for the 2008-2009 year, and vice chair for the 2007-2008 year, and is liaison to John Tyler Community College in Richmond.
