The VCCS Office of Professional Development is pleased to announce the 2009 Classified Staff Leadership Academy on May 27-29, 2009 at the Stonewall Jackson Hotel in Staunton, VA.
This wonderful professional development activity is limited to one classified staff person per Virginia community college campus. A variety of workshops, discussion groups, training sessions, and seminars are scheduled in this exciting skills development, career enrichment, and networking experience with colleagues throughout the Commonwealth. Participants should come prepared to participate fully in the entire academy.
VCCS presidents are welcome to nominate one staff person per campus. A private registration link will be sent to the presidents after the New Horizons conference to share with their campus nominees. Those confirmed nominees should register through our online process. Since this activity is by invitation only, the registration site is hidden to the general public. All participants should be registered by COB April 20, 2009. If not all campuses nominate participants, we will enroll others on a limited first-come basis.
Please be aware that the VCCS Professional Development Program will support the full tuition for one attendee per campus, but participants’ travel costs will be up to the colleges. Also, in the event a registrant must cancel, the college should find a replacement or pay the $350 registration for anyone who registers but does not show up.
