Education Technology of the Year Program

Better known as the Ed Tech of the Year program, New Horizons was pleased to launch the first of what will become and annual tradition. The Ed Tech of the Year program embeds technology into the New Horizons conference itself and invites participants to experience cutting edge and emerging technologies. Those attendees participated in Early Adopters and became members of the EALC (Early Adopter Learning Community).

Twitter

Each member received an ipod touch and tweeted the entire conference. Have you joined Twitter?  See our New Horizons Twitter.

Still unsure of what to do?  Check out our iTunesU and look for our New Horizons Logo. Under the podcast section is a series of podcasts on how to set up a Twitter account and how to 'tweet'. Listen to Michael Greene instruct you about Twitter. You must have iTunes installed into your computer.

iTunesU (Video and Presentations)

We have iTunesU account with the VCCS. Look for the New Horizons logo to check out our 3 sections: videos, presentations, and the EALC Podcasts, set up by Dave Morales and Jackie Smith.

We recorded selected speakers for our video sessions. We have uploaded powerpoint shows of some of our speakers in presentations. Our last section is a series of podcasts given my Michael Greene that shows you how to use Twitter. Enjoy.
