A Career Switcher Program of
Virginia's Community Colleges

Bring your Passion to the Future. Become a Teacher.

Virginia’s Community Colleges offer a fast track alternative licensure program – EducateVA – a statewide initiative to address critical shortages in the teaching profession throughout the state, allowing you to bring your dream of teaching into reality.

Teaching as a second career is as wide-spread throughout the state of Virginia as our Career Switcher backgrounds.  We’ve assisted professionals from engineering, medical, manufacturing and sales industries to begin their new or second career in teaching.

Whether you’re looking for a teaching position in Richmond, Hampton Roads, Danville, Harrisonburg, Northern Virginia, Roanoke Valley or Southwest Virginia, switching careers can be a rewarding experience and many times a longtime dream well accomplished.

Teach Science, Math, English or Foreign Language at the Middle or High School level, or English as a Second Language K-12, and make a difference with your experience and your degree!
